An Act authorizing the town of Nantucket conservation commission to convey a certain parcel of land situated in the town for purposes of conveyance to the town of Nantucket under the care, custody, management and control of the select board and the town of Nantucket to convey certain land in the town of Nantucket held for open space, passive recreation or conservation purposes to the Nantucket islands land bank for the purposes pursuant to its legislation and/or to the Sconset Trust, Inc. For open space, conservation and passive recreation purposes

HD 5111 allows the town of Nantucket to transfer specific parcels of land - including 35 Grove Lane, portions of Low Beach Road, and areas along Hawthorne Avenue - to the Nantucket Islands Land Bank or the Sconset Trust, Inc. for conservation, open space, and passive recreation purposes. The town's Select Board will determine the terms of each transfer, including any restrictions or easements. This bill applies to land the town currently owns and holds for conservation use. It is authorized under a constitutional provision that permits these transfers without conflicting with other state laws.
