An Act authorizing Dartmouth Fire District No. 1 to appoint the position of Treasurer

This bill authorizes Dartmouth Fire District No. 1 to appoint its Treasurer rather than having the position filled through other means (like election). The Prudential Committee will appoint the Treasurer for up to three years, with possible reappointment only during the final year of the current term. The Treasurer's salary is determined by contract with the Prudential Committee, subject to budget approval by the District Meeting, and the Committee may discipline the Treasurer per the employment terms. The change takes effect July 1, 2025.
