An Act relative to a motorcycle safety fund

This bill creates a dedicated Motorcycle Safety Fund to support motorcycle safety initiatives. It redirects $2 from every motorcycle registration fee (previously going to the General Fund) into this separate fund, which must cover rider education programs, instructor training, and public awareness campaigns. The fund also requires rebates of $150 for riders under 21 who complete approved safety courses, with total rebates capped at 20% of annual deposits. Annual reports on fund income and spending must be provided to the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association and relevant legislative committees.
