An Act establishing the Puerto Rico trade commission

This bill proposes creating a Massachusetts-Puerto Rico trade commission to strengthen economic ties between the two regions. The commission, composed of 15 members appointed by state leaders (including the House speaker, Senate president, governor, and economic development secretary), would study and recommend ways to boost trade, business investment, and cultural exchanges. It must annually submit reports with findings and policy suggestions to the economic development secretary and relevant legislative committees. The commission would focus on mutual economic interests without providing direct funding or altering existing laws.
