An Act restricting the sale of certain items at flea markets

This bill restricts the sale of infant food, drugs, cosmetics, and any product with an expiration date at Massachusetts flea markets. Only authorized manufacturer or distributor representatives - showing written proof of authorization - may sell these items; transient vendors without such credentials cannot. Flea markets are defined as temporary vendor spaces at non-permanent retail locations (excluding catalog sales or pre-arranged presentations). Violations incur fines of $100-$1,000 per product unit, with seized items forfeited to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and false credentials are also penalized.
