An Act relative to the maximum age requirement for firefighters for the town of Bedford

This bill removes the maximum age requirement for new firefighter appointments in Bedford. It exempts all town government positions covered by civil service law (G.L. c. 31) from age limits for initial hiring. Current employees' civil service status remains unaffected by this change. The law takes effect immediately upon passage.
