An Act to create Cannabis career pathways for justice-involved individuals

This bill directs the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission to study and create a pilot program that helps people with criminal records find jobs in the cannabis industry. The study will look at training and education options available inside prisons, jails, and during probation or parole, with results due by December 2024. Following the study, the commission must launch a pilot program by December 2025 to establish specific career paths for incarcerated individuals and those on probation or parole. The initiative involves collaboration with various state agencies, including the Department of Correction and the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development.
