An Act relative to solar drying of laundry

This bill amends Massachusetts law to allow homeowners and tenants to install and use outdoor clotheslines for drying laundry. It prevents private entities, such as homeowners associations, from charging fees for this practice and requires existing rules banning clotheslines to be reconsidered through a meeting if requested by a resident. While the state law permits the use of clotheslines, individual cities and towns must vote separately to adopt these provisions locally.
