An Act relative to the Farm Technology Review Commission

This bill reorganizes the Farm Technology Review Commission within the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to include 15 members representing various government agencies, agricultural sectors, and technology groups. The commission will study ways to promote energy conservation, collaborative purchasing, and sustainable farming technologies while reviewing existing regulations that might hinder technological adoption. Members will serve three-year terms and must meet quarterly to analyze current laws and propose updates that support modernizing farm technology. The commission is required to submit its findings and legislative recommendations to the governor and state legislature by April 1, 2024, and annually thereafter.
