An Act relative to certified translations

This bill amends Massachusetts law to require that any foreign language document submitted in court proceedings must be accompanied by an English translation. The translation must include a certification from the translator stating they are competent and that the translation is accurate to the best of their ability. This rule applies to all parties involved in legal cases who wish to introduce documents written in languages other than English. The certification must be printed legibly or typed to ensure clarity for judges and court staff.
