An Act relative to the protection of our drinking water from nitrosodimethylamine

This bill directs the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to establish specific safety limits for nitrosodimethylamine in the state's drinking water. Once these limits are set, the department must treat any water samples exceeding them as violations of existing drinking water regulations and enforce the standards accordingly. Additionally, the agency is required to report annually to the state legislature on how many water tests were conducted and how many found levels of this compound above the new limits.
