An Act relative to critical wildlife habitat management

This bill establishes a dedicated fund within the Inland Fisheries and Game Fund to purchase land for wildlife habitat management using revenue from wildland conservation stamps. It designates $2.50 from every stamp sale specifically for acquiring and administering wildlands, with the purchased lands reserved exclusively for fishing, trapping, and hunting. The legislation also sets the price for the conservation stamp at $7.50 and allows the state director to offer installment payment plans for land purchases, provided the total does not exceed 75% of the account's previous year's income. Additionally, the bill clarifies that residents holding current licenses do not need to pay an extra fee for the conservation stamp if they already have a resident license.
