H 4823 Massachusetts House · 193rd Legislature (2023-2024)

An Act authorizing the city of Revere to grant up to two additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises

This bill authorizes the city of Revere to issue up to two new licenses for businesses to sell alcohol for off-premises consumption within the Suffolk Downs Overlay District. The law allows the city to grant these licenses to new applicants or transfer them to new businesses at existing locations, provided the licenses remain at the same site. If a license holder stops operating or fails to renew, the license must be returned to the city and can be reissued to a new applicant at that location. The city must issue these new licenses within one year of the bill becoming effective.
