An Act authorizing the town of Deerfield to continue the employment of police department members Michael W. Habel, Robert A. Thrasher, and Mark Jacques

This law allows three specific police officers in Deerfield to keep working until they turn 70 or retire, whichever happens first, as long as they remain mentally and physically fit for the job. To ensure they are still capable, the town can require annual medical checkups at its own expense, and the officers must continue meeting all standard training and certification rules. Additionally, the bill stops any further deductions from their pay after age 65 that would have been taken for retirement or pension purposes.
