An Act relative to enhancing outreach for women veterans

This bill establishes a Women Veterans' Network within the Massachusetts Department of Veterans' Services to improve outreach and support for female veterans in the state. The network will create a database of registered women veterans, publish a newsletter, host conferences, and appoint a director to manage operations and coordinate with local and federal agencies. Funded through state grants, the program specifically targets areas with high populations of women veterans, shortages of service officers, or high rates of veteran suicide and crisis referrals.
