An Act to encourage, and improve the level of availability of physicians

This bill creates a new Physicians Scholarship Program in Massachusetts to address the shortage of doctors and senior healthcare workers. The program would provide up to ten years of full tuition coverage for students attending accredited medical schools within the state. In exchange for this financial aid, graduates must commit to working full-time for at least four years in a qualified medical institution or healthcare facility in Massachusetts. The Department of Public Health would manage the program and publish annual reports on its progress and effectiveness.
