To enforce this transparency, the law mandates that practitioners wear photo ID badges showing their name, license type, and expiration date during patient visits and display their license information prominently in their offices. Violations of these new identification and naming rules can result in fines ranging from $100 to $1,000 or imprisonment for up to one year.
