An Act relative to preceptorship programs for students of chiropractic
This bill allows chiropractic students in their final year of study to practice under the direct supervision of a licensed preceptor while completing their clinical training. To qualify, students must have finished their academic requirements and passed at least three of four national board exams, while the supervising chiropractor must be registered in Massachusetts and officially appointed by the student's school. The law limits these supervised practice privileges to a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of 16 weeks during the student's final academic year and explicitly prohibits students from signing legal documents independently.
