An Act relative to the creation of an advisory group on minority workers and business enterprises
This bill establishes a new advisory group in Massachusetts to help increase the involvement of minority and women workers and businesses in public construction projects. The group will consist of 15 members representing various labor unions, contractor associations, and legislative caucuses, including co-chairs appointed by the Black and Latino Caucus and the Caucus of Women Legislators. Meeting at least twice a year, the group will discuss strategies to support these groups and submit recommendations to state committees, which may lead to further legislation.
