An Act relative to judicial security act

This bill, known as the Judicial Security Act, aims to protect the personal information of Massachusetts judges and their immediate family members from public exposure. It prohibits government agencies and private data brokers from posting or selling details such as home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses without the explicit written permission of the judge. The law requires these entities to remove any protected information from the internet within 72 hours of receiving a request and bans the transfer of this data to other parties. Additionally, it provides a legal pathway for judges to seek court orders and recover legal fees if their personal information is shared in violation of the act.
