An Act relative to preserving preventative services without cost sharing

This bill requires health insurance plans in Massachusetts to cover specific preventative services without charging co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles starting in 2025. The coverage must include evidence-based screenings and immunizations recommended by federal health authorities for children, adults, and women. Insurance companies are allowed to offer additional preventative benefits but are not required to cover services that fall outside these established guidelines. The state insurance division will issue guidance to help enforce these new requirements within 90 days of the law taking effect.
