An Act relative to data transparency in the cannabis industry

This bill requires the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission to make specific testing data from independent laboratories publicly available on its Open Data Platform. The legislation mandates the release of industry-wide and lab-specific averages regarding pesticide and heavy metal failure rates, moisture content, THC levels, and terpene totals for various cannabis products. Additionally, the Commission must investigate and report on any laboratory results that are statistically significant outliers compared to industry standards. The law also directs the Commission to publish an initial report covering all prior data and to update these reports quarterly, with new regulations to be established within one year of the act's effective date.
