Resolve, Directing The Maine-Canadian Legislative Advisory Commission And The New England And Eastern Canada Legislative Commission To Examine Restoring Passenger Rail From Boston To Montreal

This resolve directs the Maine-Canadian Legislative Advisory Commission and the New England and Eastern Canada Legislative Commission to study restoring passenger rail service between Boston, Massachusetts, and Montreal, Quebec. The commissions must examine this possibility and submit a report to the Joint Standing Committee on Transportation by December 3, 2025. It does not fund or implement rail service but only requires a feasibility study. The commissions are the direct entities affected by this directive.
