An Act To Provide Funding To Keep Maine Veterans Housed

This bill establishes a new program within the Maine Bureau of Veterans' Services to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that help veterans secure permanent housing. The program will use $90,000 in state funds transferred from the sports wagering program to offer financial support for housing provider incentives, risk mitigation payments, and past rental debt for homeless veterans.
