Resolve, To Fully Fund Nursing Homes

This bill directs the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to increase payments to nursing homes to help prevent facility closures and maintain access to long-term care. It establishes a supplemental daily allowance of up to $90 for non-rural facilities and covers the full cost gap for rural facilities based on 2022 reported expenses. Additionally, the measure allows reimbursement for staff education and training costs and requires that future rate reforms maintain these higher funding levels.
