The definition of 'health care' was modified to explicitly include acts performed in an 'administrative, managerial, or supporting capacity' necessary for the delivery of care, whereas the previous version only listed 'administrative or managerial capacity'.

The definition of 'health care provider' was modified to explicitly include 'administrators' alongside other licensed professionals and facilities.

The definition of 'health care provider' was clarified to state that nonprofit facilities are included 'whether or not such a facility is required to be licensed by this state,' provided they are tax-exempt under federal law for cancer treatment.

The definition of 'health care' was expanded to explicitly include acts performed in an administrative or managerial capacity necessary for delivering care, rather than just direct clinical acts.

The definition of 'health care provider' was updated to include new roles such as offshore health service providers, nurse midwives, and various types of management companies or partnerships whose business is conducted principally by health care providers.
