ASSESSORS RETIREMENT: Provides relative to the deferred retirement of a member of the Louisiana Assessors' Retirement Fund. (gov sig) (EN SEE ACTUARIAL NOTE APV)

This bill allows members of the Louisiana Assessors' Retirement Fund who leave their jobs early to keep their contributions in the fund and retire later. Specifically, employees with at least twelve years of service can wait until age fifty-five to retire, while those with thirty or more years can wait until age fifty. The law applies to anyone who stops working as an assessor or employee before reaching their normal retirement age but has enough service credits to qualify for deferred benefits. Once the member reaches the specified age, they become eligible for a regular retirement benefit from the fund.
