AN ACT relating to protective orders involving minors.

Create a new section of KRS Chapter 456 to require appointment of a guardian ad litem for any unrepresented minor who is a party to the action or on behalf of whom a petition for an interpersonal protective order has been filed; create a new section of KRS 403.715 to 403.785 to require appointment of a guardian ad litem for any unrepresented minor who is a party to the action or on behalf of whom a petition for an emergency protective order or domestic violence order has been filed; establish protocols for proceeding against minor respondents who violate an order of protection.
