AN ACT relating to consumer reporting agencies and declaring an emergency. Amend KRS 367.3645 to allow security freezes for protected persons to be requested by methods established by the consumer reporting agency; prohibit consumer reporting agencies from charging a fee for the placement or removal of a security freeze or the creation of a record for a protected person; make technical corrections; amend KRS 367.365 to allow security freezes for consumers to be requested by methods established by the consumer reporting agency; prohibit consumer reporting agencies from charging a fee for the placement, temporary lifting, or removal of a security freeze, or for providing or replacing a personal identification number or password; remove the expiration of a security freeze after seven years; make technical corrections; EMERGENCY.
