AN ACT relating to coverage for fertility preservation services. Create a new section of Subchapter 17A of KRS Chapter 304 to require health benefit plans that provide coverage for cancer-related health care services to also provide coverage for medically necessary fertility preservation services; establish requirements for coverage; require health benefit plans that provide prescription drug coverage to also provide coverage for medications associated with oocyte and sperm cryopreservation procedures; establish requirements for covered procedures; EFFECTIVE January 1, 2018.
