AN ACT relating to public construction. Create a new section in KRS Chapter 343 to require contractors and subcontractors for public works estimated to cost over $1,000,000 to participate in applicable apprenticeship programs; prohibit members of public authorities from voting for the award of a public work contract estimated to cost over $1,000,000 unless the contractor participates in the applicable apprenticeship programs; amend KRS 343.010 to define "public authority" and "public works."
