CRIM CD-TRANSIT TICKETS-MINORS
Summary
Amends provisions of the Criminal Code of 1961 prohibiting the sale of a ticket to an unemancipated minor under 17 years of age for travel on a public conveyance to a destination outside Illinois without the consent of the minor's parents or guardian. Excludes, from the definition of "public conveyance", a public transportation vehicle operated by an entity under the jurisdiction of the Local Mass Transit District Act or the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Effective immediately.
