HOUSING-TEACHER ASSISTANCE
Summary
Amends the Illinois Housing Development Act. Authorizes the Illinois Housing Development Authority to develop and implement a program of financial assistance, subject to appropriation, to Illinois teachers purchasing their first primary residence. Limits eligibility to public school teachers with a household income of less than $100,000 per year, who are employed at the time of application as elementary or secondary public school teachers, and who commit to teach in their school district for at least 3 years after their closing date.
