CONDO-VOTING BY PROXY-BALLOTS
Summary
Amends the Condominium Property Act. Provides that a rule adopted by a condominium association board of managers, or the association's declaration or bylaws, may provide that unit owners may not vote by proxy in board elections, but may vote only (i) by submitting an association-issued ballot in person at the election meeting or (ii) by submitting an association-issued ballot to the association or its designated agent by mail or other means of delivery specified in the declaration, bylaws, or rule. States requirements for use of ballots. Provides for a meeting and vote of the unit owners on the question of a board's adoption of a rule prohibiting proxy voting in board elections.
