PLASTIC STRAW BAN

Summary
Creates the Plastic Straw Ban Act. Provides that no bar, restaurant, or any business that sells food to the public may provide to a customer a single-use plastic straw unless requested by the customer. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall enforce the Act. Provides penalties for violations. Defines terms. State Mandates Fiscal Note (Dept. of Commerce & Economic Opportunity) This bill does not create a State mandate. Fiscal Note (Dept of Public Health) This bill would not pose any fiscal impact to the Department of Public Health.
