REPRESENT CORP-ADMIN HEARING
Summary
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that in counties with a population of 3,000,000 or more, a corporation or limited liability company may appear at an administrative hearing proceeding through an officer, a board member, a shareholder with a controlling interest in the corporation, a shareholder of an S Corporation, a member of a limited liability company, or a person with a Master of Laws degree. House Committee Amendment No. 1 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes: Provides that a member of a limited liability company with power to bind the corporation (rather than only a member of a limited liability company) may appear at an administrative hearing for the limited liability company. Removes a reference to a person with a Master of Laws degree from being able to appear for a corporation or limited liability company at an administrative hearing.
