TELE SURCHARGE-POLICE & FIRE
Summary
Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act. Provides that a monthly surcharge of $0.87 charged by each wireless carrier per CMRS connection that has a telephone number within an area code assigned to Illinois by the North American Numbering Plan Administrator or has a billing address in this State does not apply to local, municipal, or State police or fire departments that are customers of wireless carriers.
