VEH CD-PASSING SCHOOL BUS-FINE
Summary
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that in addition to the suspension of driving privileges, a person convicted of failing to stop his or her vehicle before meeting or overtaking a school bus stopped on a highway, roadway, private road, parking lot, school property, or at any other location shall be subject to a mandatory fine of $300 (rather than $150) for a first violation and $1,000 (rather than $500) for a second or subsequent violation.
