SCH CD-OUT OF DISTRICT PENALTY

Amends the School Code. Provides that a person who knowingly enrolls or attempts to enroll, on a tuition-free basis, a pupil known by that person to be a nonresident of a school district having a population of 500,000 or more or who knowingly or willfully presents to a school district having a population of 500,000 or more any false information regarding the residency of a pupil for the purpose of enabling that pupil to attend any school in that district without the payment of a nonresident tuition charge shall also be charged a civil penalty of at least $30,000. Effective immediately.
