MODERATE
This bill revision updates the legislative metadata to reflect its progression from the House to the Senate, corrects a typo regarding attorney fees, and significantly expands the scope of land transfers by adding a new section to convey specific properties to the Hawaii State Public Library System. The revision also adjusts the effective date of the act from a distant future date to upon approval and reorganizes the statutory sections.
Scope change
The bill's scope was expanded to include the conveyance of specific parcels of land to the Hawaii State Public Library System, in addition to the existing transfers to the Department of Education and the County of Kauai.
SCOPE
Added a new Section 4 to convey 12 specific parcels of land (including public and school libraries) from the Department of Education to the Hawaii State Public Library System.
TIMELINE
Changed the effective date of the Act from July 1, 3000, to upon the bill's approval.
TECHNICAL
Corrected a typo in the indemnity clause, changing 'attorney's fees' to 'attorneys' fees'.
REQUIREMENT
Updated the conveyance timeline for the Department of Education to commence no later than December 31, 2026, instead of December 31, 2022.
