MINOR
The bill was amended to change its effective date from July 1, 2025, to July 1, 3000, likely to prevent the law from expiring prematurely. The amendment also expanded the scope of application to include both new rental agreements and renewals for both Section 2 and Section 3, whereas the original text only explicitly mentioned Section 2. Additionally, the title was capitalized for consistency, and the bill number was updated to reflect the House of Delegates version.
Scope change
The bill's applicability was expanded to explicitly cover both new rental agreements and renewals for both Section 2 and Section 3, ensuring the new notice requirements apply to all future tenancy arrangements rather than just initial agreements under Section 2.

The effective date was changed from July 1, 2025, to July 1, 3000, significantly delaying when the new housing notice requirements go into effect.
