SB312 SB312_HD1 · 3 edits
MINOR
The bill was reformatted from a Senate version (SB312) to a House Draft version (SB312_HD1). The core policy text regarding audible vehicle reverse warning systems remains substantively the same, but the House version includes additional administrative requirements for the Director of Transportation to manage exemptions and report to the legislature. The effective date was changed from 'upon approval' to July 1, 3000, which appears to be a placeholder or error.
Scope change
The bill's substantive scope regarding vehicle requirements remains unchanged, but the House version adds administrative oversight mechanisms for exemptions.
TIMELINE

The effective date was changed from 'upon approval' to July 1, 3000, which is likely a placeholder or clerical error and would need correction.

ENFORCEMENT

The House version adds new subsections requiring the Director of Transportation to grant exemptions for vehicles that cannot use broadband technology due to unavailability, maintain a public record of exemptions, and submit reports to the legislature.

TECHNICAL

The document structure was changed from a Senate bill format to a House Draft format, including different header information and metadata.
