What changed between versions
The effective date for lodging establishments with 50 or fewer sleeping room accommodations was changed from January 1, 2028 to July 1, 2026, accelerating the ban for smaller hotels.
Section 5 was changed to state the Act shall take effect on July 1, 3000, which appears to be a placeholder or error in the Senate Draft version.
The definition of 'personal care product' was narrowed from including shampoo, hair conditioner, bath soap, and lotion to only shampoo, hair conditioner, and bath soap, removing lotion from the prohibited list.
A new definition for 'transient accommodation' was added, referencing the same meaning as defined in section 237D-1.
A new Section 3 was added stating that the Act does not affect rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that matured or were begun before the effective date.
