Informing the Legislature that on May 12, 2025, the Governor signed the following bill into law: HB1030 HD1 SD1 CD1 (ACT 033).

This bill (HB1030) authorizes specific funding allocations for existing collective bargaining costs across Hawaii state departments for fiscal years 2025-2027. It directs $1.3 million in general funds for the Department of Education (FY2025-26) and $118,000 for the judiciary (FY2025-26), with additional amounts from special, federal, and other funds. The funding covers costs from negotiated labor agreements for state employees, including salary adjustments for non-bargaining units and health system collective bargaining. It does not create new policies but ensures existing agreements are financially supported.
