RELATING TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION.

Summary

Removes the governor's authority to select the chairperson of the board of education. Authorizes a majority of the members of the board to elect a chairperson from among the members of the board. Removes the requirement that the chairperson be an at-large member. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)
