Multi-Agency Alliance for Children; honor

This resolution (SR 408) formally recognizes and commends the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC), a Georgia nonprofit founded in 1996. MAAC coordinates services for at-risk youth and families in the child welfare system, including trauma-responsive care, residential programs, foster care support, education assistance, and initiatives like Opportunity Passport® (financial savings) and Georgia EmpowerMEnt (leadership development). The resolution does not create new laws, allocate funding, or change existing policies - it is purely a ceremonial honor acknowledging MAAC's work. It was adopted by the Georgia Senate on March 20, 2025, to acknowledge the organization's service to vulnerable Georgians.
