Sheriffs Providing Child Protective Investigative Services; Removes provisions of law relating to sheriffs of certain counties providing child protective investigative services; requires sheriffs to transfer its CPI service functions to DCF; specifies which entity becomes custodian of files & documents; provides requirements for all grants & grant-related assets; authorizes DCF to extend private leases; authorizes DCF & sheriffs to enter into specified agreement; authorizes employees to transfer their employment to DCF; requires DCF to establish positions for such employees; provides benefits to employees who transfer their employment to DCF; requiring that the defense and indemnification of certain claims be in accordance with certain agreements, etc.
