Unit Renovation Assistance Program for Seniors Act of 2024

This bill establishes the Unit Renovation Assistance Program for Seniors in Washington, D.C., to help older renters improve their living conditions in both subsidized and unsubsidized apartments. The program creates a dedicated fund administered by the District of Columbia Housing Authority, which will be financed through $5 million in initial funding, grants, donations, and interest earnings. The Housing Authority is required to regularly assess senior housing needs, hold public hearings, and report quarterly on how the money is spent.
