AN ACT PROPOSING AMENDMENTS TO THE DELAWARE CONSTITUTION RELATING TO TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS.
What changed between versions
The original single technical correction to Article I, Section 18 (adding 'a' between 'in' and 'manner' in the soldier quartering provision) was removed entirely.
Eleven new sections were added making technical corrections across Articles II, III, IV, V, VIII, and IX of the Delaware Constitution, including fixing duplicate words, adding missing words, correcting punctuation, and adding subsection designations to Article V Section 8 for readability.
The bill now requires the full constitutional amendment process (two-thirds vote in both houses plus passage by the next General Assembly) for all corrections, removing authority that previously would have allowed certain limited technical amendments to take effect without the next General Assembly's concurrence.
Sponsor list expanded from a single representative (Rep. Osienski) to 10 sponsors including multiple Representatives and Senators, indicating broader legislative support for the expanded bill.
