SB 461 Connecticut Senate · 2024 Regular Session

AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE LAND IN THE TOWN OF SOMERS.

This bill authorizes the Commissioner of Correction to transfer a three-acre state-owned parcel in the town of Somers to the local government for public safety purposes. The transfer will only occur after the State Properties Review Board approves the deal, and the town must agree to keep the land for safety uses or risk having it returned to the state. Additionally, the state will retain a specific easement on the property to allow the fire department to use it as a staging area.
